MARGAO: Dr Suresh Khairnar, former president of Rashtra Seva Dal and President of India Palestine Solidarity Forum (Indian Chapter) on Wednesday said the privatisation of all the sectors including defence and health by the present government is a serious concern to the nation and will lead to a major impact in future.
Addressing the gathering on the topic ‘Present Situation in India and Abroad’ at Margao, he charged the present BJP government at Centre for doing politics, and targeting certain communities even during COVID pandemic.
Dr Suresh highlighted communal and caste-related incidents, besides human rights violations in India.
“Privatisation of health, education, ports, and even of the nation’s defence sector is a serious concern. It should be stopped. It is shocking to expose the facts of the present government that they have not left a stone even to do politics and communalism at the time of COVID pandemic”, he alleged.
According to him the agenda of the BJP government aiming at Hindu Rashtra is not a hidden secret but this will certainly have the worst impact in the coming days.
“Even at the time of COVID-19 they targeted certain communities by tagging them as coronavirus carriers. The way the government is engaged in politics raises several doubts about their agenda”, said Dr Suresh.
He even accused the government of hiding the numbers of deaths due to COVID.
“People will not forgive them keeping in mind the laws against farmers”, he added.
