PANJIM: All India Congress Committee (AICC) general secretary Priyanka Gandhi e Vadra is likely to visit Goa on Friday, December 10.
During her day-long visit, Priyanka will address party workers meeting in South Goa district. Her maiden visit to Goa is aimed at galvanising the party functionaries for the Assembly elections scheduled in February next year.
The GPCC however, dismissed the pre-poll alliance between the Trinamool Congress Party (TNC) and the regional Maharashtrawadi Gomantak Party (MGP) for the ensuing Assembly elections.
GPCC president Girish Chodankar said, “There will be no impact of TMC-MGP alliance on Congress in the coming elections because Congress and MGP have never contested Assembly elections together. Our ideologies are different from MGP.”
