While fund starved Corporation of the City of Panjim (CCP) has not yet received a single paisa under Jawaharlal Nehru National Urban Development Mission (JNNURM), it has ended up spending over Rs 50 lakh in preparing detailed project reports (DPRs) of projects, alone, it wants in the city.
The CCP paid Rs 9.61 lakh to Water & Power Consultancy Services (India) Ltd, Gurgaon for preparation of DPR for the sector water body preservation and hill slope protection.
Groupe SEC India Pvt Ltd, Bangalore which was hired for preparing DPR for four different projects was paid Rs 37.24 lakh.
It was engaged for preparing DPR for basic services to urban poor that included 226 apartments at Kamrabhat and was paid Rs 11.31 lakh.
For preparation of DPR for Comprehensive Mobility Plan (CMP) for it received Rs 11.35 lakh and Rs 9.24 lakh for preparation of DPR for the Sector Heritage Conservation for the city. Whereas it received Rs 14.58 lakh for preparation of DPR for development of park, gardens and open spaces for the CCP.
This include Bonca De Vaca precint and Swami Vivekanand Road, development of Dona Paula park and market, development of Miramar beach, Charao Jetty & redevelopment of entry to Viscount’s House, Divar Jetty and provision of toilets.
Whereas for preparation of DPR for municipal e-governance design it paid Rs 10.96 lakh to M/s Upasani Jain & Kshirsagar and G S Mathur & Co Pune.
Some of these projects are pending with directorate mission in Delhi even as many other States already got funds from JNNURM and also started work.
