PANJIM: The Department of Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs on Tuesday appealed to general public to link their Aadhaar Card with ration card before September 30, 2023 failing which their ration cards will be deleted from the database.
In a press communiqué issued here, the department informed that Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution, Department of Food and Public Distribution, New Delhi, has extended the date for Aadhaar enrollment/application for Aadhaar enrollment up to September, 30, 2023.
“All the beneficiaries of ration cards who have not yet linked their Aadhaar Card with ration card are requested do so, as linking of Aadhaar Card with ration card is mandatory, same is notified by this department,” reads the press communiqué.
“Further, the department will delete ration card beneficiaries whose Aadhaar Card is not found linked with ration card from the ration card database after September 30, 2023,” the communiqué adds.
