MARGAO: A tragic incident unfolded in Fatorpa, Quepem, as a 70-year-old senior citizen collapsed while walking on the road, sustaining head injuries that led to his death.
Responding to the situation, the elderly person was rushed to Balli Health Center, where the attending doctor pronounced him dead. As part of the necessary procedures, the deceased’s body was transferred to the South Goa District Hospital morgue in Margao for preservation and post-mortem examination. Police inquiries into the matter, led by PSI Narayan Padkar, indicate no signs of foul play. A case has been registered under Section 174 of the CrPC as an unnatural death.
