MARGAO: Preet Patil, 24, from Arlem, Raia, tragically lost his life in a self-inflicted scooter accident at Fatorda on Tuesday.
According to Fatorda PI Ditendra Naik, the accident occurred near a petrol pump in Agalli, when Patil was riding his scooter from Arlem to Bolshe Circle.
He was initially taken to South Goa District Hospital in Margao for treatment and later transferred to Goa Medical College (GMC) in Bambolim. Despite medical efforts, he succumbed to his injuries during treatment.
Fatorda Police conducted the panchanama and registered the case under Section 174 of the CrPC as an unnatural death case. The body was sent to the South Goa District Hospital morgue for postmortem examination.
