The fourth time Chief Minister, died on March 17 over a year after he was diagnosed and undergoing treatment for pancreatic cancer.
Art & Culture Minister Govind Gaude informed reporters that the condolence meet will be an attempt to create awareness and inspire the people of Goa on the works Parrikar carried out for different sections of the society. “Although he was unwell, Parrikar continued to serve the society. He has struggled all through this year but it did not reflect on his enthusiasm for the citizens and the State,” he said as he was also accompanied by former Panjim MLA Siddhart Kunkalienkar and industrialist Srinivas Dempo at a press conference at Kala Academy on Tuesday.
CM Sawant on Monday had said that Parrikar had reached out to every single village in the State through his developmental projects, and 99 per cent households through his Social Welfare schemes.
