MARGAO: Former BJP Sports Minister Ramesh Tawadkar, who had resigned from the BJP party for being denied the party ticket during the 2017 Assembly elections, was inducted once again into the BJP by party president Vinay Tendulkar.
Tawadkar said that he, along with his supporters, had resigned because could not tolerate the injustice of being denied the ticket during the last elections in 2017. The BJP realised that it was a mistake, he said.
He informed that he had visited Manohar Parrikar twice and Parrikar along with other party leaders said that the party needs him. “I believe in the ideology of the party and that I will continue to serve the party and the society”, he added.
Focus on youth cadre: The South Goa Yuva Morcha meeting was the biggest event organised by the BJP since the death of its two MLAs/Minister Francis D’Souza and former MLA Vishnu Wagh. However, none of the several party leaders who spoke at the event remembered or mentioned these leaders in their speech. Interestingly, all the speakers were focused entirely on galvanising the youth cadre for the upcoming MP elections and none of them spoke about the upcoming Shiroda and Mandrem bi-elections.
