Of late, each time that Ramu met Chintamani he asked the same question, “Won’t the MLAs who defected to the BJP, facing so much flak and ill will, be “rewarded” by the Lotus party with ministerships?
With each passing day, the impatient wives of the HWMs (Hopefully Waiting for Ministerships) asked more and more questions, to which the HWMs had very few answers except to say “Be patient, good things take time to come”

Since some of the HWMs were his friends, Ramu too was concerned. But Chintamani told him:
“Why worry, the HWMs are destined to get something even better. Even Central Minister ships perhaps. You may soon have more Union Ministers from Goa”
With this pleasing thought, Ramu went to bed and slipped into a pleasant and happy dream.
In his dream, he saw the Goa leader, the man who saw God, get a “request” from the top man. The top man asked if the great Goa leader would do him the honour of being in the national cabinet and shower his blessings on the cabinet and the country. He consented and got appointed as India’s first ‘Union Minister of Divine Services’
After a grand ceremony, the Goa leader got invited to speak at symposiums, conferences, public meetings and in conventions on divinity. He started getting more invitations from foreign countries than even the World Guru, his boss.
Ramu dreamt of the Union Minister for Divine Services, on one of his international visits, getting a guard of honour as he landed in a foreign country with the President, Prime Minister and the entire cabinet of that country lining up to receive him.
At global meets, he got the highest seat on the table and always spoke last since his words were the final words.
Interestingly other ministers in waiting from the defector list also got union cabinet positions though as Ministers of state and nowhere close to the Union Minister of Divine Services. But they still received power and privileges like posh bungalows in Lutyens Delhi, a fleet of cars with a police escort and no security at airports and business class travel of course.
One of the ministers got a special newly constituted Narco Ministry and he was very happy. He soon developed muscles as strong as Pablo. There was happiness all around.
Their wives were the happiest though. They were always invited as chief guests to many social functions and ceremonies and were on stage giving away prizes for many events. And when they came to Goa for frequent holidays, they got super VVIP treatment. They were all honorary Chairpersons of many “social” bodies. Life couldn’t be better. Finally, they were getting what they thought they deserved.
Ramu woke up the next morning emerging from his dream with a smile on his lips. He was happy. But reality struck. He read the Voice of Goa he learnt that the ministry, the guard of honour, the foreign travel and the ministerial bungalows were all dreams.
In reality, they were just ordinary ruling party MLAs who could at best get some “development” done or change some rules to win civic elections.
He once again rushed to Chintamani to tell him about his dream and the shock he got when he woke up. “Arre Chintamani, I thought your words were coming true. But only in my dream”
Chintamani replied “You should know by now, It will become a reality when the “divinely inspired one” goes to God and has a discussion. The go-ahead will happen immediately. At a high level, the correct mahurat (auspicious date and time) is very important. You won’t understand. But just wait”
Ramu understood that some things are just left to high-level people.
