MAPUSA: Swimming coach Surajit Ganguly, who is accused of raping a minor trainee, will be produced before the Judicial Magistrate First Class (JMFC) at Mapusa for further remand on Friday.
Mapusa PI Kapil Nayak said, “The police team had gone to the victim’s place in West Bengal to record her statement. They were successful in recording her statement and that of her parents.”
The accused was booked by the Mapusa Police under relevant Sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), Goa Children’s Act and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
