Expressing their displeasure over the manner in which the Private Member’s resolution tabled by Quepem MLA Altone D’Costa and Fatorda MLA Vijai Sardesai was rejected by voice vote despite the Opposition members demanding a division in the House on Friday, Benaulim MLA Venzy Viegas and Velim MLA Cruz Silva alleged that the three linear projects are being bulldozed in the State by the government despite strong opposition by the people of Goa.  Viegas said, “I am attending this session under protest because of what happened on Friday when the resolution was not honoured. If our voices are not heard in the House then I don’t know how we will continue our full term. I strongly oppose and condemn what happened on Friday and want the Private Member’s resolution to be taken up again and put to vote so that people of Goa know who are (MLAs) responsible for the destruction of the State.”
