MARGAO: Curtorim MLA Aleixo Reginaldo Lourenco on Saturday urged the government to instruct the Department of Social Welfare and the Women and Child Development to immediately release the funds of Dayanand Social Security Scheme (DSSS) to the beneficiaries and also disburse the financial assistance under Laadli Laxmi. MLA has written a letter in this regard to the Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant urging him to intervene at the earliest.
He said that the people from Curtorim constituency as well as from other parts of the State are calling him with two concerns that they they have not received their monthly DSSS till date and also since 2018 there has been non disbursement of benefits of Laadli Laxmi Scheme.
