MARGAO: With the ensuing Ganesh Chaturthi festival less than a month away, the Cuncolim Municipal Council has knocked the doors of the District Collector funds to repair the Ganesh immersion steps damaged by the July 2 floods near the Sanvorcotto bridge.
The civic body has asked the District Collector to take up the repair work under the disaster management fund.
In a letter, CMC Chairperson Devendra Desai drew attention of the District Collector to the existing Ganesh immersion steps next to the Sanvorcotto bridge which were damaged on the day of the floods.
