MARGAO: Villagers of Benaulim got irked learning the contractor resumed work on the contentious sewerage pipeline that is passing through Pedda Benaulim from Colva, despite orders from the District Magistrate that had stated that the work should have stopped on May 14. On Sunday night they confronted the contractor and asked for the documents to prove that he can carry out such work. The locals vowed to maintain a strict vigil of the road.
The locals are aggrieved over the condition of the dug up road that has caused great hardships to the locals who live in the vicinity.
