Revenue Minister assures that all necessary measures are being taken

Following her interaction with the locals on Monday, Revenue Minister and Taleigao MLA Jennifer Monserrate, carried out an inspection at sea, of the surrounding area of the grounded vessel Nu Shi Nalini on Tuesday. She also pointed out that tug boats have been stationed and floating barriers have been installed as part of the precautionary measures undertaken to ensure no untoward incident takes place.
“Inspected the site surrounding the grounded vessel Nu Shi Nalini. Tug boats have been stationed & floating barriers have been installed. I would like to thank our Hon’ble Chief Minister @drpramodpsawant for his swift evasive action on preventing the situation from deteriorating further and keeping in mind the best interest of our fellow #Goans,” she tweeted.
Meanwhile, some activists addressed mediapersons regarding the Nu Shi Nalini vessel issue, wherein they blamed the Mormugao Port Trust (MPT) for the entire episode and have called for the arrest of the MPT official involved.
Activists also raised the doubts and claimed that they believe that Urban Development Minister Milind Naik was aware about the situation right before the vessel sailed in Goa.
