MARGAO: The Raia village panchayat body has slammed Revolutionary Goans (RG) President Manoj Parab and his team for spreading lies and falsehoods about the panchayat. While addressing media persons on Wednesday, the Raia Sarpanch Judas Quadros and other panch members recalled what happened when Parab and his team visited the panchayat on Tuesday.
Quadros stated that he had an open discussion with Parab in his cabin but that after that, Parab visited a scrapyard in Arlem and made false allegations against him and the deputy Sarpanch. While denying the allegations, Quadros accused RG members of only making statements for publicity and not out of any care for the village’s welfare. He also referred to how they have done this in the past too after the panchayat body’s fortnightly weekly meetings.
The panch members also pointed out the RG panel who contested the Raia panchayat elections lost miserably. They added that the panchayat is willing to solve any issue of the locals but that RG is only interested in creating unwanted politics in Raia.
