An auto-rickshaw driver was injured, after his vehicle collided against a car near the Hanuman Temple in Housing Board Colony on Thursday at about 5.30 pm.
According to Porvorim Police, auto-rickshaw (GA-01-V-3302) was proceeding towards the Hanuman Temple to pick up passengers residing in Housing Board Colony. However, while taking the turn at the entrance of Housing Board Colony, rickshaw driver Suresh G Damodar, who was in drunken state, lost the control over the vehicle and dashed against the oncoming car (GA-07-F-0508).
The rickshaw driver sustained injuries and was admitted to GMC Hospital at Bambolim for medical treatment. The rickshaw has been completely damaged. Porvorim Police is investigating the case.
