Rina proves disability has no bar

MAPUSA: Rina Shirodkar from Miramar excelled yet again as an artist and proved that disability is no bar to achieving great heights stated a press release issued by Disability Rights Association Goa (DRAG) on Monday.
She was recently awarded “The Famous Personality 2019” at the Famous Returns exhibition for her work of craft sculpture of Ganapati organised by the All India Fine Art and Craft Society (ALFACS) held at New Delhi recently by Padmashri and Padmabhushan, Ram V Sutar.
She had recently won the prestigious Innovative Artist 2019, an international award by Kalaakar Foundation and Art World Centre Dubai held in Dubai. She has also won the National Iconic Women’s Awards 2019 presented by Infopark Education Society in association with BHS Entertainment Chandigarh held recently in Chandigarh.
Rina is speech impaired but that has not stopped her from excelling in the field of art. She was the only person with disability in all the above competitions.
Rina expressed her gratitude to her parents and all those who helped her during the exhibition.
