Following his nomination as the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate for the upcoming Ponda Assembly by-election, Ritesh Ravi Naik expressed gratitude to the party’s top leadership and called on voters to extend their support.
Naik thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, BJP National President Nitin Nabin, Chief Minister Pramod Sawant, state party president Damu Naik, Member of Parliament Shripad Naik, and Rajya Sabha MP Sadanand Shet Tanavade for entrusting him with the ticket.
He also acknowledged the support of party workers and senior leaders, stating that the opportunity carries both responsibility and legacy. Naik noted that the seat was previously represented by his father, and he sees the by-election as a chance to continue the work and public service initiated by him over several decades.
Appealing to voters, Naik urged the people of Ponda to support him as they had supported his father during his long political journey. He assured that he would strive to carry forward the developmental work and serve the constituency with dedication.
