VASCO: The commuters, businessmen and taxi operators from Vasco have expressed their disappointment over stopping of trains at the Vasco Railway Station.
The taxis, auto rickshaws and the yellow and black motorcycle pilots have been affected as they were dependent on the train services of the South Western Railway (SWR).
They said that stopping of trains ahead of festive season has affected their livelihood and have opined that the works should have been undertaken during January or February month.
According to former MormMeanwhile, Vasco MLA Krishna ‘Daji’ Salkar assured the people that the trains stopped due to some technical issues will restart from Thursday. He said that the inconvenience caused to commuters and businessmen and others was short term and claimed that safety of public is top priority.
According to Salkar, trains have been stopped due to some signals problems between Castle Rock and Vasco section.
