ARAMBOL: The residents of Khalchawada, Arambol, were shocked to discover that unidentified robbers broke into the sacred Narayandev Mandir during the early hours of Sunday. The local temple committee Chairman Tari reported that the stolen cash was found at three different locations within the temple premises. Additionally, the locks of the Shri Vitthal Rakhumai temple were found to have been tampered with.
Authorities from the Arambol police outpost conducted a panchnama of the crime scene, and an investigation is underway to apprehend the culprits.
Chairman Tari expressed his regret over the non-functioning state of the CCTV cameras installed in the temple premises, which could have potentially aided in identifying the robbers. The police have urged the temple committee to promptly repair the surveillance cameras.
Locals have voiced their suspicion that migrant laborers, who frequently roam the village, may be linked to the robbery. As a precautionary measure, they have called upon the police to intensify patrolling efforts in the area to prevent such incidents in the future.
