MARGAO: The family of the late Roosevelt Alemao and his friends from across the State bid him a tearful adieu as he was laid to rest on Friday.
The funeral cortege left his Orlim residence to Our Lady of Grace Church, Varca, for the funeral mass and burial. He is survived by his wife Maravilha and two children Caesar and Charlotte Alemao.
Tributes poured in for the late Roosevelt from many villages in Salcete.

He was also the former vice president of the Cutband Boat Owners Union and the director of the South Goa Mechanised Boat Owners Co-operative Society and a top leader in the trawler owner fraternity.
