MARGAO: There was a ruckus during the LED bulbs distribution at Sanguem after local MLA Subhash Faldessai supporters clashed with the villagers who took objection to the venue of the event. The local villagers asked Faldessai not to use temple premises for political purpose.
When asked to vacate the temple premises, there was chaos following which Ravindra Velip from Caurem lodged a complaint at the Quepem police station alleging that there was violence at the event. He was later taken to the Sanvordem PHC for medical examination for minor injuries.
Quepem Police Station has registered an NC case of assault.
