MARGAO:Rosada Noronha e Ferrao was elected unopposed as the new Deputy Sarpanch of Nuvem village panchayat. Incidentally both the sarpanch and deputy sarpanch of Nuvem are women. Elvita Costa is the sarpanch.
Rosada’s name was proposed by Eliza Borges and seconded by Manuel Borges. The elections were necessitated as Conceicao D’Costa resigned.
