PANJIM: The Town and Country Planning (TCP) Department has notified requests and proposals for change of zone in respect of the Regional Plan for Goa-2021 and recommendations of the TCP Planning Board.

In the notification, the Chief Town Planner (CTP) explained how the TCP had earlier notified the Regional Plan for Goa–2021 (Part). It then provided details of how the plans of various talukas had been published in Official Gazette. These covered the village panchayat and municipal areas.
“And whereas, the Chief Town Planner (Planning) has received requests/proposals from the applicants as specified in column (2) of the Table, under sub-section (1) of Section 16B of the said Act, for change of existing zone of their respective land to the zones, as specified in columns (6) and (7) respectively of the Table,” CTP said in the latest notification.
The CTP added that after carrying out such surveys and examining the said requests/proposals, the department had referred the same along with his report to the TCP Planning Board for its consideration.
“Thereafter, the TCP Planning Board, in its 174th adjourned meeting held on April 28, 2021 considered the said requests/proposals and report of the Chief Town Planner (Planning) and given its recommendations thereof as specified in column (9) of the Table,” reads the notification.
The aforementioned Table that has the information of the persons likely to be affected has been published in the Official Gazette with the latest notification.
The CTP added that notice is hereby given that the copies of the maps and note containing the proposed changes are available for the purpose of inspection in the office of the TCP for a period of two months.
“All objections and/or suggestions to the said requests/proposals and recommendations of the Town and Country Planning Board thereof, if any, may be forwarded to the Chief Town Planner (Planning), 2nd Floor, Dempo Tower, Patto Plaza, Panjim, before the expiry of the said period of two months so that they can be referred to the Town and Country Planning Board for its consideration under sub-section (2) of Section 13 of the said Act,” reads the notification.
