RP for Sattari to be finalised by SLC this week: DyCM

PANJIM: Deputy Chief Minister Francis D’Souza said that the Regional Plan of Sattari taluka is ready and is expected to be finalized this week when the State Level Steering Committee meets.

“The final plan of Sattari taluka is ready after ground check and verification of applications received providing suggestions and objections, which will be placed for approval before the SLC, which may meet this week,” D’Souza said adding there were 300-odd applications were received from the taluka. Along with Sattari, the plans of Pernem, Sanguem and Canacona are also getting ready, he said.
D’Souza said that with a deadline to notify the entire plan by December 1, they have commenced self correction of the plans in all talukas, after which the ground checks would be done.
As part of ground check, TCP officers will visit the places with spreadsheet checklist noting the ground verification. This will include taluka name, plot number, zoning of the plot as per RP 2001 and 2021, kind of vegetation cover, natural cover, infrastructure availability and the reasons for said suggestions or objections.
Government had received 6500 applications providing suggestions and objections to the 2021 land plan. All these applications have been categorised under new settlement in ECO-1, new settlement in non ECO-1, to restore 2001 settlement in ECO-1 and non-ECO-1, rectification of houses, temples, road width, fresh demands, etc.
