PERNEM: RTO office at Dhargal check post caught fire early Monday morning. The Pernem fire team managed to save property worth Rs 60,000.
According to Pernem fire station sources, the control room received a call informing them about the smoke emanating from the RTO office. Immediately, the Pernem Fire Station team headed by sub officer Prashant Dhargalkar rushed to the spot. It is learnt that the fire was due to a short circuit. The firemen later doused the fire.
