Sada residents confront AE over water supply

VASCO: Residents of Goa Rehabilitation Colony (GRB) confronted PWD Assistant Engineer M S Kunju to protest against the irregular water supply to the area.

Residents of Goa Rehabilitation Colony (GRB), who were recently shifted from Baina after they were displaced from their houses due to the highway project, were provided with PWD water tap connection, but the supply has been irregular for the last four months.

Aggrieved women armed with utensils along with their children marched to the office and demanded that it has been almost four months that water supply have been not improved.

PWD Assistant Engineer M S Kunju was forced to give an assurance that there would be sufficient water supply to the GRB Colony located on the hilly area of Headland Sada.

Argument was witnessed as agitators were ready to accept the reason given by the officers.

Junior engineer Anand Wagurmekar informed that the supply was regular but supply hours have been curtailed to other surrounding areas.

Earlier, the residents of Driver-Hill Vasco had confronted the PWD office.
