PANJIM: The two-day maritime security exercise ~ Sagar Kavach, which was conducted to check the preparedness of the security agencies with regard to terror threat, concluded on Saturday.
Sources said the exercise was successful with most of the decoy terrorists being apprehended and dummy explosives diffused.
Similarly, infiltration attempts were thwarted by the defence forces.
“The coordination between the agencies is improving with every drill,” said an officer.
On Saturday, the security force intercepted a boat with three decoys on board and brought them to Malim jetty for verification.
Nakabandi was carried out at all sensitive points and all vital establishments were put under strict security vigil.
