VASCO: A portion of a railway track between Sanvordem and Kalem gave way on Thursday morning due to heavy rainfall.
According to sources, Senior Railway officers including General Manager/SWR rushed to spot and supervised the restoration operations.
After almost three hours, the track was restored at around 2.40pm with the trains moving smoothly.
Railway sources informed that Vasco-Colem trains which were to leave at 1.10 pm were cancelled.12779 Vasco Delhi Goa express train, 17312 Vasco Chennai train which was to leave at 2.30 pm were delayed by two hours. Vasco Chennai express was rescheduled at 4.30pm, Vasco Hazarat Nizamuddin was rescheduled at 4.15 pm, Vasco Hubali link express was rescheduled at 6.45 pm. The above trains were rescheduled two hours after their usual schedule.
