PANJIM: Bhushan Savaikar, Joint Secretary to the Chief Minister, is appointed as the new Director Education, with immediate effect.
Order appointing Savaikar was issued on Monday by Under Secretary (Personnel) Maya Pednekar.

“The appointment has been done in ‘public interest’, after director Dilip Bhagat retired,” Pednekar said.
Bhagat was promoted as Director Education in April, after then director Santosh Amonkar retired from the service.
