MARGAO: The Chennayinn FC captain Elano Blumer was bailed at 1.40 but will have to attend Goa court until he is cleared off his charges. In the night after advocate Rajiv Gomes filed his bail application and was passed by Additional Sessions Judge 1 Vincent Silva but the police did not release the player till the time this report filed. Adv. Rajiv Gomes has called the complaint frivolous and flimsy and is a case of illegal detention. “There is a court order for releasing the player but I don’t know why they want to deliberately want to keep him in. On whose influence how and why is the police acting in such a manner is what we don’t understand” gOMES said.
After massive discussions to get the case compromised the International Player Elano Blumer was escorted to local Margao Police station to be arrested. Elano was taken in a private car amidst thousands of flashing lights of the papparazi assisted by the Reliance Sports CEO, the team Manager and others to assist him. At the stadium matters reached peak of anxiety as it was learned from reliable sources that the Team Patron of Chennaiyin FC Abhishek Bachchan called his father Amitabh Bachchan to inform about the incident. The Superintendent of Head Quarters Vishram Borkar visited the police station late night to take a stock of the situation.
The Sstuation began to get tense after the main entrance of the stadium was cordoned off by the officials to stop camera persons from clicking pictures. Some of them were even pushed away from the place. Later, at the police station the journalists were stopped intimidated by the officials who were assisting the player.
