MARGAO: The scooter theft accused Chandrakhant Gavande, who was arrested by Vasco Police for stealing a scooter from the heart of Vasco town, was produced before Judicial Magistrate First Class (JMFC) Vasco and remanded to 12 days judicial custody. The alleged accused has been sent to Colvale jail.
Vasco Police had arrested Gavande for stealing a scooter parked under one apartment near KTC bus stand, Sada. The police have registered an offence under Section 379 of IPC.
Police said that one Ramprakash Yadav has lodged the complaint stating that he had parked his scooter near the apartment close to the KTC bus stand which was stolen by the alleged accused.
