PANJIM: Following the announcement made by Shiv Sena MP and Goa-charge Sanjay Raut about the party’s plan to contest more than 20 seats in Goa, Shiv Sena Goa (SSG) leaders met with Raut in Mumbai.

On Monday, Shiv Sena leader Uday Samant and Maharashtra’s Higher and Technical Education Minister also stated that Shiv Sena will look at the concept of having an alliance with anti-BJP parties in Goa including Congress if possible. Raut too had said that Shiv Sena would consider an alliance.
On this, SSG leaders said there is a clear plan in principle and Raut will lead the talks with other parties. If there is an alliance, Shiv Sena has decided not to compromise beyond 16 seats under any circumstances.
According to SSG, an important meeting was held with Raut at a starred resort in Andheri Mumbai, which was attended by Shiv Sena Goa Liaison Chief Jeevan Kamat, President Jitesh Kamat and General Secretary Milind Gavas
While Shiv Sena is considering contesting as many as 25 constituency seats, work in this regard is underway and Shiv Sena Ministers, MLAs and office bearers from the Konkan region will be participating in the campaign.
