PANJIM: India should adopt a bullet-for-bullet policy to end terrorism in Kashmir like it did in Punjab, said Viresh Shandilya, National President of the Anti-Terrorist Front India (ATFI) on Monday.
Shandilya strongly urged the need of apprising the youth of Kashmir about the advantages of abolishing Article 370. He said ATFI will organise camps to enlighten youth of Kashmir against terrorism.
He further insisted that President’s Rule be imposed and that Article 370 be scrapped to restore peace in Jammu and Kashmir.
“There should not be any place for Article 370 in J&K as terrorist activities have increased in that State due to special autonomous status it enjoys under this provision. If we want to bring back peace there then Article 370 should be abolished,” he said.
He added, “A person from any State should be allowed to purchase land and start a business in Kashmir. The togetherness will help in the development of Kashmir and violence will stop ultimately. If Article 370 is removed, I will be the first to buy land in Kashmir,” Shandilya said.
Shandilya appointed Kulwant Singh with the responsibility of handling operations of the front in Goa. Shandilya streamlined the necessity of deputing CRPF personnel along with Coast Guard officers on the sublime seaports of Goa keeping in lieu the intelligence inputs of terrorists penetrating through the sea.
