MARGAO: The Goa Seamen Association of India (GSAI) has expressed their gratitude to the Chief Minister and the Chairman of the Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (GBSHSE) for the introduction of an online and simple SSC verification process.
This initiative will greatly benefit the Directorate General of Shipping and seafarers in obtaining their Indian Continuous Discharge Certificate (CDC) conveniently,” said Frank Viegas, GSAI President.
“This online SSC and HSSC verification process will streamline and expedite the procedure for seafarers to validate their educational qualifications while applying for an Indian CDC. Previously, this verification process was often time-consuming and involved physical documentation, causing unnecessary delays and inconvenience to seafarers,” Viegas added.
“This will not only enhance efficiency but also encourage more individuals to pursue careers in the maritime sector, knowing that administrative procedures are simplified and accessible,” he said.
