Chief Minister Pramod Sawant on Thursday issued a stern warning to newly appointed government employees, cautioning them against seeking transfers closer to their homes. He said any such requests would result in postings even further away.
The Chief Minister was speaking after handing over appointment letters to 95 newly recruited government employees. Sawant emphasised that postings are already allotted after due consideration and, in most cases, within the same taluka.

Advising the new appointees to maintain discipline and professionalism, Sawant warned them against approaching MLAs or political representatives for personal favours. He reminded them that government servants are expected to serve the public and not prioritise personal convenience.
The Chief Minister also made it clear that the state government would take strict action against misconduct. He disclosed that during his tenure, disciplinary action has been initiated against 20 to 25 government employees for various lapses.
Sawant’s remarks underscored the government’s commitment to accountability and efficient public service delivery, urging new recruits to uphold integrity and dedication in their roles.
