PANJIM: The secondary and higher secondary government run schools are directed to select three students as brand ambassador’s to create awareness on HIV, Tuberculosis (TB) and Blood Donations (BD).
The Directorate of Education (DoE) has issued a circular to the secondary and higher secondary schools also directing to select one nodal teacher for each school for the awareness programme.
DoE said that the National AIDS Control Organisation (NACO) through Goa State AIDS Control Society (SACS) has planned to contribute to Government of India’s New India @75 initiative, by engaging adolescents and youth of select schools and HSS through online engagement and mobilisation in the form of three awareness campaigns on HIV, TB and BD launched virtually in three phases.
NACO through State AIDS Control Society in every State has developed a plan for launch of three awareness campaigns to be implemented virtually in three phases in select government schools and colleges.
Through this awareness campaign activities will be organised by schools for students of Std IX to XII and Red Ribbon Clubs constituted in colleges.
