MARGAO: Betul coastal police seized two Karnataka vessels while fishing within Goa’s 5-km zone off the Benaulim coast on Monday. The vessels which are kept at Cutbona jetty under police protection had 11 fishing crew on board.
The fish on the two vessels were seized and auctioned at the Cutbona jetty.

The police inspector of Benaulim coastal police Rajendra Prabhudessai informed that the vessels violated the fishing norms and were also involved in trawling activity.
The operation was carried out with the help of fisheries officials and traditional fishermen.
