The Anti-Narcotic Cell (ANC), intensifying its crackdown under Goa’s Drug-Free Goa campaign, conducted a raid at a rented premises in Oxel, Siolim, during the early hours of August 9. Police seized suspected narcotic substances worth approximately ₹7.77 lakh and arrested a 31-year-old man in connection with the operation. The seized contraband reportedly included ecstasy powder, LSD blot papers, hydroponic ganja and ganja. A case was registered under relevant provisions of the NDPS Act. The accused was produced before the JMFC Mapusa and remanded to five days of police custody.
