CANACONA: Senior citizens from Canacona demanded that better infrastructure is created for them in the taluka.
While interacting with the Canacona police, senior citizens voiced their grievances and demanded better facilities from extra seats in buses to separate queues at bagyatdar bazar and government hospital. Canacona PI Sudesh Narvekar assured them that their grievances will be taken up with the authorities concerned.
Govind Prabhu complained about the insufficient number of seats on public buses and how there are no pharmacies open at night.
Issues regarding weight of bread and use of domestic LPG cylinders for commercial purposes were also brought to the PI’s notice.
Arvind Desai requested for a separate queue for senior citizens at Bagyatdar bazar and the lone government hospital in the taluka.
Desai also suggested a zebra crossing on the road in front of Bagyatdar bazar in Chaudi town. He also asked the police to stop youths from creating nuisance by playing loud music from the music system of their cars on the road side especially in the evening.
Ervilho Barreto complained that the internal roads in Sadolxem village are being damaged by heavy vehicles of the contractor of the bypass road.
