PORVORIM: Office bearers of the Serula Comunidade have filed a police complaint against one person for threatening them with dire consequences.

Attorney Peter Martins has lodged a complaint with the Porvorim Police Station.

Sub President of the Committee Joseph Pinto said on Friday when the office bearers visited CHOGM Road and questioned the person if he has obtained the government permissions for construction of compound wall in the plot along the CHOGM Road, he said that they do not have any right to question him and allegedly threatened to kill them.

Pinto alleged that the said plot is on Serula Comunidade land which is illegally grabbed and sold to non-Goans without obtaining permissions from the government, Town and Country Planning Department and the Panchayat. The construction work on the plot is currently on.

The office bearers also alleged the involvement of a sarpanch in the grabbing the plots.

They charged that the plots worth lakhs of rupees are created and alleged that the mutation of a few plots is done in the names of those persons who are already dead.

The office bearers further informed that they have written to the Administration, Revenue Minister, Police and Panchayat but no action has been taken.

They have sought the intervention of the Chief Minister and Revenue Minister.
