Sewerage pipeline in Fatorda has failed: MLA

MARGAO: Fatorda MLA Vijai Sardesai on Tuesday met the PWD Minister Deepak Pauskar to take stock of the progress of north main sewerage pipeline work. 

“A 600-metre stretch of pipeline between Presentation Convent and Kadamba bus stand has failed. The pipeline will now have to be laid again and the deadline of March 2020 has shifted to March 2021. The failure of the pipeline is news to me. I feel that the work shouldn’t come back in the next election manifesto again,” Vijai said.

Vijai said that he met the PWD minister to ascertain the status of the North Main Pipeline.

Meanwhile, Pauskar said that the discussion with Vijai on the ongoing work of the pipeline and that he would look into the matters raised by the Fatorda MLA.
