MARGAO: Sharmad Raiturkar on Saturday filed his nomination for Ward 12 of the Margao Municipal elections.

He was assisted by Rupesh Mahatme, Sunil Naik, Rajendra Talak, and several others from the BJP.
After filing the nomination, Raiturkar said, “This election of the Margao Municipal Council will be historic. The BJP-backed “Vibrant Goa” will develop the Margao town by growing over the Council limitations.”
“There is a need to create a model in Margao which has not been done for last 25 years. We want to win the election with a majority to BJP-backed panel,” he said.
Most BJP candidates would be filing their nominations on Monday.
