PONDA: This may sound strange but the makeshift shed built for passengers has turned into parking lot for two-wheelers.
It may be recalled that on account of the dilapidated condition of KTC bus stand the authorities were forced to erect metal sheets around the dangerous area.

However, the travellers are forced to wait for the bus in the scorching heat, as the makeshift shed has come in handy for riders who use it to park their two-wheelers.
The KTC bus stand at Ponda has been completely shut as it poses risk to passengers. The bus stand was shut in February this year, and a special shed was built in the vicinity for passengers waiting for their bus. The passengers are left with no other option but to stand in the open, as two wheelers are parked in the temporary sheds built exclusively for travellers.
The shed is also used by stray cattle as shelter. Passengers have demanded strict action against those who park their two-wheelers in the makeshift shed.
