Goa’s biggest folk festival, Shigmo, is slated to begin on March 8 and will continue in different parts of the State over a fortnight. However, the Velips from Gokuldem and Barcem villages celebrated the last day of the traditional Shigmo festival on Sunday.
The festival was filled with traditional dances and music and people worshipping the deities.
A traditional house-to-house shigmo play was also organised at Delem, Canacona, where locals were seen dancing in the courtyard.
