Shiv Sena criticises ‘incompetent’ CM for failing to safeguard Mhadei

PANJIM: Shiv Sena party has come down heavily on ‘incompetent’ Chief Minister Pramod Sawant for having failed to safeguard Mhadei water for Goa, despite tall promises. 

Goa Shiv Sena State President Jitesh Kamat alleged that the notification of the central government has again exposed the hypocrisy of Sawant and his State government. 

“The Apex court has given directions to the Centre as there was no application filed by the Goa Government to counter the application moved by the Karnataka government. This is a clear evidence of hypocrisy by the CM of attempting to fulfill his assurances made to the people of Goa. After the notification, it is like keeping false hope about mother Mhadei’s condition, who has been kept on ventilator as Karnataka had continued with the construction of Kalsa Bhandura work despite the status quo order from the Court,” said Kamat. 

Further Kamat stated that it is the incompetency of the CM that Karnataka has always been successful in their attempt to get support from the Centre. This time, the Central Ministry made the notification on Mhadei as soon as the delegation of Karnataka ministers met the Centre.  This shows that the Goa CM was taken for a ride and this is an insult to the people of Goa,” he said in a statement issued on Friday.
