PONDA: Siya Varad was elected unopposed as the fourth sarpanch of Davorlim Dicarpale Village Panchayat at the elections held at the panchayat premises on Saturday.
Siya’s name was proposed by Nidhi Malwankar and seconded by Herculano Niasso.
The elections were necessitated following Sahar Shaikh’s resignation as sarpanch on November 12. Extension Officer Angelico Gracias conducted the proceedings.
