Smart City works: Two St Inez roads to open for public from May 28; Caculo mall junction to be closed till June 7

PANJIM: The two roads at St Inez-Panjim, part of the Smart Road built by the Imagine Panaji Smart City Development Limited (IPSCDL) will be thrown open to vehicular traffic at 9:30 am from Monday, 28, ahead of the deadline of May 31.

The newly constructed concrete roads of a total of 1.5 km are the road from Vivanta By Taj Junction to Sheetal Hotel Junction, further connecting to Madhuban Junction, St Inez and the road from Sheetal Hotel Junction to Caculo Mall Junction.

Vivanta Junction to Sheetal Junction, further connecting to Madhuban Junction (St Inez) and  Road from Sheetal Junction to Caculo Mall Junction will be open for public use on May 28 at 9 pm. 

With the commissioning of these two roads, the road from Caculo Mall Junction will remain closed for traffic, to complete the highly complex work there. This work was proposed to be completed by May 31 and the Junction would be opened by June 7, on completion of the concrete curing period.

IPSCDL managing director (MD) and chief executive officer (CEO) Sanjit Rodrigues, said, “We are pleased to open the newly improved roads in St Inez, developed under the Smart City initiative. These enhancements, including road widening and various infrastructure upgrades, are a significant step forward. We are grateful to the people of St Inez for their support and patience in making this infrastructure development initiative a success.”
