VALPOI: With Mhadei River water levels rising since last two days following heavy rains, the road in Sonal village near Valpoi has been submerged.
According to Sonal villagers, the Mhadei River is overflowing due to the continuous rainfall for the last two days. Due to this, water has entered their village and with the road submerged they cannot move out of their village. This has caused a lot of inconvenience to them.
The villagers said on account of the gusty winds several trees got uprooted in the rural areas of Sattari taluka. A huge tall tree fell in Bhuipal along the Valpoi-Panjim highway on Thursday morning.
